About PinsVid
PinsVid is a free, browser-based tool that helps people keep videos from public Pinterest Pins on their own devices, so a recipe, workout or tutorial is there when they need it, even offline.
Why we built PinsVid
Pinterest is one of the best places on the internet to find ideas you actually use: a 30-second pasta recipe, a stretching routine, a braid tutorial, a small-space storage idea. Saving a Pin to a board keeps it inside the app, but the moment you are offline, short on data, or in the middle of cooking with messy hands, the video is out of reach.
We wanted a calm, honest way to keep those videos on a phone or computer. Many tools we tried were cluttered with misleading buttons, pop-ups and redirects. So we set out to build the opposite: one input box, one real download button, and nothing else in the way.
PinsVid launched in 2026 as a small, independent project. It is still run that way today, by a small team that designs, builds and tests every part of the tool ourselves.
Our principles
These are the rules we use whenever we decide what to build, and what not to build.
Simple by default
One box, one button. We remove anything that does not help you save the video you came for.
Privacy first
No accounts, no logins and no request for your Pinterest password. We do not store the videos you save.
Honest quality
We deliver the original file Pinterest holds. We never claim a higher resolution than the creator uploaded.
Respect for creators
PinsVid only works with public Pins, and we ask users to save videos for personal use and to credit creators.
Clear, safe pages
No fake download buttons and no forced redirects. What you see on the page is what it does.
Open to feedback
We read every message we receive and use it to fix problems and improve the tool.
What happens when you use PinsVid
- You share a link. You paste the address of a public Pin. That link is the only thing PinsVid needs.
- We look up the public video. Our server requests the video information that Pinterest already makes public for that Pin.
- You get the original file. We show the available qualities, and the MP4 is delivered to your device. We do not keep a copy.
