We built PinsVid to work without accounts or personal profiles. This page explains, in plain language, the limited information involved when you use the site and the choices you have.

No account, no login

You never sign up, and we never ask for your Pinterest username or password.

No stored videos

We do not host or keep copies of the videos you save.

Analytics only

We measure visits and whether the tool works. We do not build personal profiles.

1Who we are and scope

This Privacy Policy applies to pinsvid.com (“PinsVid”, “we”, “us” or “our”) and explains how we handle information when you visit the website or use the PinsVid tool. By using the site, you agree to the practices described here.

2Information we use

PinsVid only uses the information needed to run the tool, keep it secure and understand how it performs.

3What we do not collect

  • We do not offer accounts, so there are no usernames or passwords to collect.
  • We do not ask for or access your Pinterest login or any private Pinterest data.
  • We do not store the videos you download, and we do not keep a history of what you save.
  • We do not sell, rent or trade personal information.
  • We do not knowingly collect sensitive information such as health, financial or government ID data.

5Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. PinsVid uses a small number of them:

Essentialpvsid

A session cookie that protects the download box and contact form against misuse. It is deleted when you close your browser.

Preferencepv-theme

Stored in your browser (local storage) to remember whether you chose the light or dark theme. It never leaves your device.

Analytics_ga, _ga_*

Set by Google Analytics to count visits and understand how the site is used.

AdvertisingGoogle cookies

If ads are shown, Google and its partners may set cookies to serve and measure them (see Section 7).

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Essential features may not work correctly without the session cookie. Where the law requires it, we ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies.

6Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC, to understand how many people visit PinsVid, which pages they use, the type of device and browser, the approximate region, and whether video requests complete successfully. This helps us keep the tool working well.

Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. We do not send names, email addresses or other directly identifying information to Google Analytics. Data is kept for a limited period set in our account and then deleted automatically.

7Advertising

PinsVid may show advertisements to keep the tool free. Ads may be provided by Google AdSense or other advertising partners.

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website or other websites.
  • Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
  • You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info.

Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked for consent before personalised ads are shown, using a consent tool that meets Google’s requirements.

8Sharing and disclosure

We do not sell personal information. We only share limited information with service providers that help us run the site, such as our hosting provider, Google Analytics and advertising partners, each under their own privacy terms. We may also disclose information if required by law, to respond to a valid legal request, or to protect the safety and rights of our users and the service.

9Data retention

We keep information only as long as it is needed for the purposes in this policy. Cached video lookups expire after about 30 minutes, request-limit records after about 10 minutes, and messages are deleted once they are no longer needed.

10Security

We use HTTPS encryption, security headers, request limits and access controls to protect the site. Keys and settings used to run the tool are stored on the server and are never exposed in your browser. No online service can be completely secure, but we work to protect the limited information we handle.

11Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

EEA and UK users (GDPR): we rely on legitimate interests to run and secure the service, and on your consent for non-essential cookies and personalised ads.

California users (CCPA/CPRA): you may request to know or delete personal information. We do not sell personal information.

12Children’s privacy

PinsVid is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

13International users

PinsVid can be used worldwide. Our service providers, including Google, may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, these transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

15Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our service or the law changes. We will post the new version on this page and update the “Last updated” date above.
